The study of soil conditions influence on seismograms recorded in the southern part of the country was carried out according to the relative location on radiation characteristics of source to Cahul city area, with computation of synthetic signals in the range [0-5] Hz. Comparative analysis of synthetic spectra, computed by mean of Modal Summation Method
(MSM), for two characteristic structures of this region (with- and without- soft sedimentary layers) show high degree of similarity between soft structure and recorded spectra for May 30, 1990 event. According to spectral analysis, the presence of sedimentary layers amplifies the seismic signal up to
1 degree on MSK scale; the sedimentary layers assumption for modeling the structure of Cahul surroundings is supported by microtremors records maxima corresponding to 0.25 Hz and 0.40 Hz, characteristic both for synthetic and recorded seismograms. |
