În articol sunt prezentate rezultatele cercetării empirice a stereotipurilor etnice ca o componentă de bază a identităţii etnice. Studiul este realizat în baza tineretului din UTA Găgăuzia, Republica Moldova, studenţi ai Universităţii de Stat din Comrat. Se concluzionează despre necesitatea consolidării nu numai a autoidentificării etnice, dar de asemenea şi a imaginii pozitive a „Altuia‖, deoarece stereotipurile etnice se diminuează în sfera relaţiilor interetnice.
