Rezumat

Theater has always attracted us through mimesis, through elements of theatricality that make us understand life as a show, but also to live, through denial (”denegare”), the difference between imaginary and reality. In communication, we highlight the educational role of the theater as a “place of memory” (P. Nora), after the performances staged in the Republic of Moldova in the 2000s. From the perspective of this concept, theatrical forms are analyzed (monodrama, Verbatim, dramatizations of memories or prose). They call attention to the relationship between the cultural memory and the identity of the person in contemporary theatrical discourse and the difference between history and memory in making this type of show. Thus, the cognitive and educational messages are pointed out. It is revealed that the theater presents the individual testimonies (interview, published document) in public, while the actor demonstrates the uniqueness of these testimonies and, respectively, the difference between collective and individual memory about famine, Siberian exile etc.
