Rezumat

This article describes the life, ministration in the Church, and pedagogical activity of priest Grigory Mikhailovich Babchenko, who spent 33 years from 1875 to 1908 at the spiritual service in the Archangel Michael Church of the village of Avdarma. It shows what kind of mark his activities left in the life of the parish and village, and tells about other duties that were assigned to him: He was working as an assistant Dean of the 3rd district of Bendery county, Dean of the district, head of the district candle shop, a priest in Avdarma, Tomai, Ferapontyevka, an observer of the activities of the district's church schools. This article is based on the results of the research work carried out by the Museum of the History of the village of Avdarma, based on the archive of the Archangel Michael Church of the village of Avdarma, documents from the National Archive of the Republic of Moldova, the Chisinau Diocesan Gazette issued during the Russian Empire.
