Rezumat

We cannot imagine a human society without communication, without language. Over the centuries, the media has been a weapon used by the ruling classes to control those around them. Today, no one is unaware of the crucial importance of communication tools such as newspapers, radio, television and the Internet, so power is also manifested through words. He uses them to consolidate his positions and extend his influence according to a strategy aimed at obtaining a relationship of domination/submission. It is thanks to the mechanisms of discourse that power acts on people, persuades them, dissuades them and directs the course of history. In this article, the notion of “power” is understood in its broadest meanings: political, linguistic, economic, ideological, social and religious.
