Rezumat | ||||||
Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) has become one of the most important sectors of economy in many countries over the last decades. SMEs are characterized by flexibility, low cost of management, ability to foster scientific and technical progress, innovation, and the social role of this sector. At the same time, SMEs are characterized by weaknesses like excessive dependence on the external environment, lack of resources and difficulties in terms of marketing their production. It is obvious that the global financial crisis that broke out at the end of the first decade of this century, had a negative impact on the situation in the area of entrepreneurship, but particularly affected small business. Hence, the need to address the crisis situation and ability of small business to adapt to it based on international experience. |
