The collective monographic study Musical
Art in the Republic of Moldova. History and
Modernity (Chisinau, Grafema Libris, 2009, 952
pages) represents a first attempt of a comprehensive
quasi encyclopedic synthesis of the musical culture
phenomenon in the Republic of Moldova related
to a more ample cultural space extended to the
East and West of Europe and which has consance
in the modern times at the XX and XXI centuries.
Specialists in different fields of autochthonous art
aimed at bringing in the foreground the specific
aspects regarding the history, theory and practice of
the musical phenomenon, taking into consideration both its local peculiarities and the innovative
impulses of the intercultural dialogue with in the
modern society.
The work is divided into three compartments
which refl ect the three basic directions of the evolution
of thr sonorous art in its socio-cultural ensemble: the
traditional music (folkloric), the sacred music and
the cult musical creation. |
