Rezumat

In the era of digitalization, the impact of the digital environment on companies and people in general is increasingly evident. A company becomes a successful one when it accepts the reality of digital innovations, having a high online visibility, a well-organized website and a significant marketing budget. The key elements that digital marketing has over traditional marketing are: measurability, accessibility, speed and engagement. Digital marketing is a relatively new, innovative field of marketing with major importance for every company. And in a period of uncertainty, pandemic bans, physical distancing, on the one hand, and the need for information in the context of market globalization, on the other hand, it has become the most suitable bridge to connect businesses with their customers and potential partners. The digital economy is the economic activity that results from the billions of daily connections and interactions between people, businesses, devices, data and processes. Its foundation is the hyperconnectivity between all the previously mentioned elements, resulting from the existence and use of the Internet, mobile technology and the Internet of Things (IoT). The digital economy differs from the traditional one by the fact that it opens some wide horizons for humanity, such as the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, the creation of a new culture of management, the increase of productivity yield and the welfare of society.
