Rezumat

A laboratory experiment was carried out to determine the effect of various forms of boron, a microelement with relatively close toxicity and deficiency limits in some plants, on earthworm avoidance. The 0, 0.5, and 1 mg kg-1 doses of boric anhydride (B2O3) Etidote - 67 (Na2B8O13.4H2O) borax pentahydrate (Na2O 2B2O3 5H2O) borax decahydrate (Na2O 2B2O3 10H2O) and boric acid (H3BO3) were used. The half kg of soil (test soil) to which the mentioned boron type and doses were applied and the untreated soil were positioned side by side, touching each other, and the 10 Eisenia fetida was introduced to the system at the junction of the two soils. This prepared setup was opened after 48 hours and the number of worms on both sides of the container was determined. The results showed that boron sources other than 0.5 mg kg-1 Etidot 67 dose disturbed the worms, and the highest worm avoidance was determined from boric acid applied to test vessels.
