The article discusses the manifestation of the two sides of the social status of contemporary women from the Republic of Moldova: objective, reflecting the socioeconomic position, and subjective, focused on personal qualities. The study was carried out by applying a self-report questionnaire constructed by the author in order to identify changes in social status. The research group included 70 women: 25-44 years old - 55.7%, 45-62 years old - 44.3%. According to the opinion of the respondents, the subjective attributes of the social status are more important for the contemporary woman. Young women establish attributes with reference to personal qualities in the first half of the hierarchy, adult women equally value the subjective and objective side of social status.

Articolul pune în discuție manifestarea celor două laturi ale statutului social la femeile contemporane din Republica Moldova: obiectivă, reflectând poziția socioeconomică, și subiectivă, axată pe calitățile personale. Studiul a fost realizat prin aplicarea unui chestionar de autoraportare construit de autoare în scopul identificării schimbărilor în statutul social. Lotul de cercetare a întrunit 70 de femei: cu vârsta de 25-44 ani – 55,7%, de 45-62 ani – 44,3%. Conform opiniei respondentelor, pentru femeia contemporană prezintă o importanță mai mare atributele subiective ale statutului social. Femeile tinere stabilesc în prima jumătate a ierarhiei atribute cu referință la calitățile personale, femeile adulte valorifică în mod egal latura subiectivă și obiectivă a statutului social.
