The touristic potential assessment of Braniştea commune (Bistriţa-Năsăud County). In the following work, the author tries to describe those parts of Braniştea commune, situated in Bistriţa-Năsăud county, which are not affected in an irreversible way by the inhuman activities of `homo sapiens`. These parts should be touristic attractions in the near future. This work isn’t long enough to treat the development of touristic establishments. Also there are highlighted few solutions for this, and they are grouped in a chapter entitled “SWOT analysis”. Of course that tourism may bring some incomes for the inhabitants, so we couldn’t forget one of the most important events of the country tradition which is called `Serbarea cireşelor` (The cherry feast). The name of the event is enormously suggestive in its simplicity. SWOT analysis at the end of this work should be a reason to start some touristic investments in this part of the world.
