The present article focuses on study of prepositions on the example of a literary work. It clearly shows that prepositions are used to indicate location, direction, time and many other relations in a sentence. Many examples are included that help to understand the meanings of the English prepositions. The article reveals that many prepositions in English have more than one usage and explains how the usages are related semantically. All the prepositions in the article are supported with their translation into Russian. |
