The narrative fiction is heterogenic and strategies mixed, as well as relevant for the juxtaposition of the real, biographic and imaginary levels. The classic narratives and the experimental ones join together within the same textual net so that the oppositions Realistic / fantasy prose or referential / self-referential text lose their function. At the same time, the revival of story and narrator- character from the identitary fiction re-adjusts the ambition of the authorial ego to fictionally re-build the dying humanity. What will be the right approach to be followed: to read according to epoch expectations mediated by the genre rules, to rebuild the reading effect of the contextually marked writing, or to read it through contemporary eyes by mixing the opposing levels of high-low culture, academic-subcultural trends, politically-historically marked text?

Ficţiunea romanescă stă sub semnul eterogenitătii narative, al mixajului de formule, al suprapunerii sau interferenţei de planuri din spaţiul realului, biograficului şi imaginarului. Naraţiunea clasică şi experimentul narativ cresc în aceeasi ţesătură, astfel încât dihotomiile proză realistă/ proză fantastică, text referenţial / text autoreferenţial devin inoperante, iar reabilitarea poveştii şi a personajului narator din proza ficţiunilor identitare, care revin în forţă, reconfigurează ambiţia totalizantă a eului auctorial evoluând într-o umanitate în derivă pe care încearcă s-o reorganizeze ficţional. Care este demersul de făcut: să citim „după sistemul aşteptărilor epocii” la care avem acces „prin normativele de gen”,să reconstituim „orizontul de aşteptare în raport cu care a fost creată şi receptată opera” sau să ne apropiem cu universul de aşteptare actual, reconciliind postmodern palierele cultural-trivial, academic-de consum,politic implicat, sau istoric identificabil ?
