Rezumat

In this article is described the operation of Stalinist repression namely the Iacob Ogurţov
case which demonstrates how an innocent man has received from the Soviet repressive organs 25
years of forced labor.
On January 20, 1949 the Deputy Head of the third Section of the second Department of the
Ministry of State Security of the Moldavian SSR, the major Zavenski signed the arrest disposition of
Ogurţov Iacob Ivanovich. In this context the author presents 6 reports of the interrogations in which
the investigator insisted on establishing closer ties between Ia. Ogurţov, the secretary of mayoralty,
and the chief of gendarmes Colan.
On February 11, the investigator Zealin signed the decision of accusation of the defendant
Iacob Ogurţov. Having examined the prosecuting materials from the file no. 5372, Zealin
found that Ogurţov Iacob Ivanovich, having hostile predispositions to Soviet power, during the
occupation of Moldova „was a secret agent of the Romanian Gendarmerie, betrayed Soviet patriots”.
Finally, by the sentence of April 27, 1949, the Military Court of MIA troops of Moldavian
SSR from Chisinau, the Soviet repressive organs tried to blame Ia. Ogurţov of secret collaboration
with the gendarme station chief from the village, a non-existent fact in reality, confirmed
during the entire interrogation of Ia. Ogurţov. He was also accused of assaulting the bad payers.
