The city of Galați is one of the many cities in Romania that has undergone countless changes in its architecture during the era of socialist construction. This city on the banks of the Lower Danube, next to the river port, was known due to the construction of the steel plant in the 1960s. Many former workers at that factory after 2000, when the plant went bankrupt, emigrated to Spain to -find a job, thus becoming a cheap labor force in a Western European state. |
