Rezumat

Such a project of recycling the PET flakes was initiated within Transilvania University Brasov aiming to include the PET flakes in the composites. The paper presents composition for new compounds, using recycled PET post-consumer bottles and rubber, as well as the testing results of their mechanical characteristics. The samples were obtained using a thermostated heater with a forced convection, type ECv 200-300 with strict temperature control (± 50C), working at different temperatures. PET – pellets rubber samples were tested regarding the mechanical properties (stress-strain, compression, shear) with the mechanical stand type MTS (Multi Tester System).
