In romanian language, the two phenomena: anaphora and deixis refer to the linguistic and situational contexts. Refering to different cir-cumstances (person, place, time) the deixis phenomenon is situated on the boundary zone between Semantics and Pragmatics. On the other hand anaphora is a syntacticaly-semantic phenomenon that mirrors the linguistic context and resumes a previous ideea by a substitute word. Sometimes is difficult to make a clear delimitation because most of linguistic expressions can realize both of them. also both phenomena orientate the addressee to well known elements from general knowledge possessed by the interlocutors. The two phenomena can be distinguished through their specific functions: the deixis realizes the communicative situation and anaphora asssures an intern coherence to the speech.
