It goes without saying that alcohol is the first risk factor in violent behaviour development. The experts of „ Rapid Evaluation of Family Violence Isssues in the Republic of Moldova”, undertaken in 2007 emphasise that quite recently there have been observed more and more cases of family violence where the aggressor is alcohol addicted, consequently one of the main causes of domestic violence is excessive alcohol consumption. Nowadays the implication of government/ local authorities in similar actions is obviously less significant and it leaves room for the increasing number of family violence cases, the subject of which is the alcohol addict. Consequently, considering family violence issues, incentive factors and identifying victims needs may become possible only in the context of multidisciplinary co-operation where each will bring their contribution and will suggest ways of family violence phenomenon mitigation. |
