The article is used to explain the criteria for developing a socially mature personality. Nowadays the processes that take place in our society, significantly and in some cases irreversibly affect the life of an individual, and social maturity is an important quality that contributes to optimal functioning of such individual. The relevance of the problem of social maturity of the individual results from the specifics of social transformations in modern society, the need to develop and implement new approaches to psychological theory and practice, allowing implementation of new methods of diagnosing indicators of social maturity, as well as creating psychological conditions to optimize the process of social development of personality. However, defining both the objective and the indicators of effective social development is complicated and requires an appeal to the knowledge and expertise gained in different branches of psychological science and implies the search for a common theoretical and methodological basis for solving it. This article will be based on the literature on psychological and social theories that explain the factors of a successful transition to adulthood. |
