Rezumat

Early childhood, puberty and adolescence pose to parents, educators and other specialists in psychological and educational care many challenges that, in the context of contemporary society, have intensified and diversified. Informational, instrumental, social, emotional and moral support from the family remains an essential protective factor which, in situations where children, adolescents or adolescents live apart from both parents, due to their departure abroad to work, no longer acts in time and with impact. The literature presents social support as one of the external factors that condition resilience, i.e. the ability of a child, puberty or adolescent to cope with the difficulties inherent in the path of development and daily life. A consistent body of study suggests that, even when the pattern of interactions between children of different ages or adolescents and parents is altered by various difficulties or vulnerabilities, the relationship with parents remains an important social and emotional resource that affects the quality of children's development. adolescents and adolescents. The impact that affective-relational experiences and family life events have on the development, psychosocial adaptation and well-being of children, adolescents and adolescents is also reflected in their abilities to respond to the demands of adults, to manage behaviors. risk, to integrate from a social point of view or to manage the specific tasks of schooling. We analyzed through a scientific report one of the dimensions of the phenomenon of migration for work abroad of parents, namely the short and long term consequences that this life experience has on the functioning, growth and personality development of children, adolescents and remaining adolescents. the home. The individual dimension of the experience of temporary separation from parents is analyzed by referring to the theoretical models of developmental needs in childhood, puberty and adolescence. In the social, economic and cultural context of Romania, several comparative studies have been undertaken, especially since the 2000s, which aimed to highlight the psychosocial profile of children, adolescents and adolescents experiencing the temporary disintegration of families of origin and separation parents, by going abroad to work for one or both of them. The findings of the investigations highlighted the negative consequences that the departure of parents to work abroad can have in terms of the development and functioning of children, adolescents and adolescents. They are more likely to experience negative symptoms specific to anxiety, depression and anger, feelings of social isolation and loneliness, low self-esteem or aggression. Also, children, adolescents and adolescents whose parents have gone to work abroad are at risk of showing a negative attitude towards school, of being more frequently involved in acts of indiscipline during the school program and of obtaining school results.
