The study included 100 patients with chronic pancreatitis, in which the values of oxidative stress in the venous blood were evaluated. The purpose was to assess the correlation between the oxidative stress indices and the age of the patients with chronic pancreatitis. The study showed an inverse mean correlation between the values of oxidative stress and the age of the patients with chronic pancreatitis - with increasing age the indices of the antioxidant system decrease, which should be considered in antioxidant treatment in patients with chronic pancreatitis. |
