The article analyzes the main risks associated with the construction of small hydropower plans on the mountain rivers of the Carpathians. Small hydropower plants increase the climate change on the planet due to changes in the hydrological regime of mountain rivers. Small hydro power plants have a negative influence on the biodiversity of mountain rivers. Small hydro power plants have a negative social effect, due to the disappearance of water in rural wells. |
