Rezumat

For many people living in urban environments, botanical gardens offer a window to nature. Visitors go there to enjoy plants, but how many of them are actually aware that many plants also have a fascinating history and are often used for amazing practical purposes? Nowadays, botanical gardens play a fundamental role in education by enhancing people’s interest in nature and its protection. This paper aims to share our experiences made during our journey in the attempt to develop the ecological education activities at the Botanical Garden “D. Brandza” Bucharest.
