Consumer policy is increasingly at the crossroads of the main challenges that face our citizens, economy and societies. Ensuring a high level of protection of consumers’ and users’ rights is one of the crucial elements of an inclusive Information Society, enabling the smooth development and wide take-up of new innovative
services and applications. In a rapidly changing market environment, new measures are needed in order to preserve and enhance consumer protection and user rights and ensure that consumers can reap the full benefits of a dynamic and increasingly borderless electronic communications market. |
