Educaţia postmodernistă are drept scop formarea agenţilor sociali capabili de diagnostic, de intervenţie şi de schimbare a cadrului existenţial. Din perspectiva educaţiei postmoderniste educaţia trebuie să determine subiecţii să fie într-o continuă stare problematizantă, o stare în care permanent să-şi pună întrebări şi să caute răspunsuri. Paradigma educaţiei postmoderniste accentuează utilitatea cunoştinţelor: ce vei face după ce vei absolvi?; cum vei folosi ceea ce ai învăţat?; cum îţi vei îmbunătăţi viaţa aplicând ceea ce ştii? În această ordine de idei, postmodernismul avansează ideea, conform căreia este necesară introducerea în şcoală a noilor tehnologii didactice, pentru ca învăţământul să ţină pasul cu continua transformare socio-economică şi cu rapida digitalizare a culturii.

Postmodernist education aims to train social agents capable of diagnosis, intervention and change of the existential framework. From the perspective of postmodernist education, education must determine the subjects to be in a continuous problematic state, a state in which to constantly ask questions and seek answers. The paradigm of postmodernist education emphasizes the usefulness of knowledge: what will you do after graduation?; how will you use what you have learned?; how will you improve your life by applying what you know? In this sense, postmodernism advances the idea that it is necessary to introduce new technologies in school in order for education to keep pace with the continuous socio-economic transformation and rapid digitalization of culture.
