Rezumat | ||||||
This article refers to the romanian art of Paul Goma. We consider that what makes Paul Goma’s art specific is the natural complexity with which he melts in the crucible of the romanian the traditions of the european novel, the bessarabian folklore, the quality of witnessing history and the dialogical interweaving of renaissance, avant-garde and postmodernist aesthetics. The original and irreducible unity of the system of artistic elaboration of the romanian universe and of the literary forms of Paul Goma’s novels is due to a fine sense of carnivalesque. It is the carnivalesque that makes polyphony and dialogic strategies possible, which integrates Rabelais’s grotesque comedy, avant-garde rebellion and postmodernist playfulness, but without ever freezing in any of them. |
