Rezumat

The article addresses the concept of school management from the competencies perspective; it reveals the change of perception about people and organization in the birocratically-administrative and democratically-participative model of leadership, but also the meanings of the transformational management. Competence development is a process that takes place throughout the career and involves specialized training, both within the organization and throughout the professional and social environment.
