The lease contract is known from Roman times, as it started to be used in that certain period. A modern form of this lease contract was introduced in Romania by Alexandru Ioan Cuza’s New Civil Code, in the XVth century. Though the contract shares many juridical characteristics with other types of lease contracts, it still mantains its’ identity. Taking into account the legislation of other European countries in this matter, the main characteristics of the lease contract remain unchainged. The particularrities that differentiate the lease contracts of several European countries come from the specific legislative orientations of those certain countries. |
