This paper presents some aspects of the education which is considered as an awareness, planed and organized action in order to achieve and develop the human personality. The bases of the education are accentuated, such as formal, non-formal and informal education. By specific, clear and practical actions, the values are selected, updated and transferred from the society to the individuals with references to the educational process inside the schools and universities. In this context there are mentioned some elements of the general and professional training and of the self-training. Some aspects of the intellectual and technological education are also presented. Thus, the values, the attitudes, the skills, or the capabilities of the individuals, which are formed by hard intellectual work, will contribute to solve the challenges of the future.
