The present article describes the Adventure Learning (the Expeditionary type), by explaining its socio-constructivist origins. Moreover, there are listed the benefits and risks of this type of education. It underlines the new role of the teachers in the contemporary education system, as a guide and a supporter. This is why the authors thoroughly describe the forms and the stages of Adventure learning as the best approach for elementary school students to study and understand the environment.
