Rezumat

The following article pursues the topic of federalism as a principle of governing and its issues concerning the establishment of a singular national policy. The author highlights the interest of political scientists for the practical application of federalist principles in countries such as USA, Germany, Canada and others. Furthermore, there are presented some interesting phenomena in a federalist environment like the strong support for pluralism and basic democratic values.
