The article comprises a narration based on the yearlong conflict between central authorities of the Republic of Moldova and small businesspersons – patent holders. The static character of the legislation that regulates the patent based trade has led to the occurrence of economical frauds, as well as of the abuses of the advantages offered by the law on the entrepreneurial patent. Conceived as an impediment to economical progress, the case of the “Law on the entrepreneurial patent” reveals definite imperfections connected not only to state authorities, but also to the quality of services and products delivered by the patent holders. As the enactment of a decision to ban the patent based trade has been menacing the patent holders, the Government of the Republic of Moldova came along and enacted the amendments to the law on entrepreneurial patent. Nonetheless, the discontents of the arguing parties are pulled into the arguments and counter-arguments toted up by the author further in the article. In the conclusion, the author pleads for a solution which will diminish the number of those involved in dubious business, instead of affecting globally all the patent holders.
