The study is aimed to elucidate the terminology used in the process of analyzing the phenomenon of optzecism: generation, optzecism, postmodernism, textualism. The author proves the existence of an opzecist generation in Bessarabia, a generation that appeared in conditions which were different from those in which the Romanian one did. Optzecist Bessarabian literature contains sufficient examples of textualism, though preference for them varies from poet to poet. Some writers use too many procedures of textualism, others are more selective and discreet.
