Lately the abridged units have extended in all the fields of activity in most languages. The subjective creation of abbreviations is increasing in the fields of science, politics, economy, military and social life activities. More “elegant” and “fashionable” units appear for consumers to have something jovial, euphonic, recognizable and related to some well-known names to make them superior, attractive, interesting for everybody to get eager to know more of
the given object or phenomenon. In advertising, names of companies, organizations, associations, programs, may intentionally correspond to historical persons, constellations, continents, cities, deities, social-political movements, etc. to make the appellation more
attractive and bring success. |
