We're living times of crisis. Is it really a financial, economic, social or a political one? Maybe it’s a crisis of humanistic values? Who should be responsible for the training of humanistic values? Certainly this noble mission has to be accomplished by the educational system. The formation of values, in addition to communicative, linguistic, discursive skills training, is a priority of the Moldavian educational system from its fist curricular
experiences. However, their enrollment in a curriculum domain represents a conceptual and methodological problem, they not having a determined curricular area. The discrimination of the five curricular domains – communication, culture, connection, comparison and
community – derived from the combination of American and European experiences, made possible the identification of certain types of competences according to specificities of each area. As a result, the humanistic education values are to be trained in each of the five curricular areas. The purpose of this article is to reveal their specific particularities in the teaching/learning process of the contemporary French language. |
