Rezumat

The purpose of this paper is to highlight the situation of agriculture in the commune of Belinț, Timiș county through the areas and productions obtained and the agricultural systems practiced. Within the framework of the study, 10 family farms studied during the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 are presented. Located to the east of the relative center of Timis county, on DN 6, the town of Belint, the seat of the commune with the same name, is at a distance of 45.5 km from the municipality of Timisoara and 14.5 km from the municipality of Lugoj, the nearest town. Belint commune covers an area of 6283 ha, of which 5670 ha is agricultural land. The administrative component of the commune includes the localities of Belinț, Babsa, Chizătău and Gruni. The relief is represented on about a third of the territory of the commune by a hilly area, part of the Lipovai Hills, located north of the Bega river and E-SE of the Gruni locality, with an altitude of 180-150 m, the general inclination manifesting from to the N-NE towards the S-SW, and by a plain area, part of the Gulf Plain of Timiș, in the southern part of the area, in the form of an alluvial-proluvial basin located between the Lipova Hills and the right bank of Timiș, with altitudes between 105-110 m in the vicinity of Chizătău and 111-140 m in the Gruni-Babsa area and, as a third element, the Timisului and Begai meadows.
