Rezumat

The article addresses a topical issue focused on intercultural communication and the role of choral music as a medium for the formation of musical-aesthetic attitudes in students. Since the methodology of choral music is active and participatory, collaboration and understanding between the performers is needed to ensure the exchange of experience and the formation of intercultural competences. Music is a creative process that facilitates the appreciation of cultural contributions of each ethnic group, identifies intercultural ties and values the right to cultural diversity. Thus, Bulgarian choral music, as an image of the time and of the society that produced it, becomes an ideal instrument for cultivating respect for one's own identity and for others through intercultural communication. Promoting the expression of cultural diversity and strengthening personal values through music is one of the objectives of the programs related to the multilateral development of individuals by understanding multiculturalism as a constant reality.
