Rezumat

The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of the concept of self-esteem, its development in preschool age as a mechanism of self-regulation of behavior and activity and a component of self-awareness. Also presented are the results of an empirical study of identifying the structural components and levels of selfesteem of older preschool children, determining the characteristics of the manifestation of self-esteem in older preschool children.
