Rezumat

The defining characteristic of the current era is the increase of stressful factors with action on multiple levels, both on individuals and human groups. The very rapid pace of transformations taking place in society, the increasingly high demands on employees in the ordinary professional environment with the insufficiency of qualified personnel caused by labor migration and, last but not least, the effects of the economic, political and social crisis, created by the COVID 19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine exert a strong pressure on modern man. All of humanity bears the stress of social-political conflict and the war be-tween Russia and Ukraine created multiple reactions of anxiety and vulnerability among the population of the Republic of Moldova, reactions that are still unknown, and the consequences of conflicts and stress experienced by people are yet to manifest. In this article, the mental states specific to people in a crisis situation (the post-Covid situation, the war in Ukraine and the refugee crisis), their sources, symptoms, indicators and immediate and long-term consequences of the humanitarian crisis are presented, both at the level of individuals as well as at the mass level, at the same time, the ways of managing crisis situations and people's psychological reactions are presented in order to cultivate the social and psycho-logical culture regarding crisis situations.
