The Dniester river complex situation created since its beginning a deep lack of trust on European continent to Russian Federation geopolitical visions. In fact, the conflict which had started in the last decade of 2nd millennium was a perfect indicator of political behaviours in Central and Eastern Europe, representing a real source for democratisation, politico-administrative consolidation and economic growth. The fear from a second Dniester-case helped most of the European people to get a faster close of their communist past and to make all necessary steps for a real democratisation, who create a good start to some new processes, among them mentioning the NATO and EU accession. It is necessary to understand the real meaning of Dniester conflict from its sources to present „evolution”, just to appreciate more the work of people who oppose communism for many years, because their sacrifice brought to almost all Europe a peaceful existence. Today situation in Eastern Europe underline once more that ignoring problems is just a way to gangrene a body and – sometimes – a nation or even a continent, forcing people to spent too much time to cure it.
