Rezumat | |||||||
The adaptive role of melanotropin to the influence of unfavorable factors was demonstrated by the body’s protective reaction to the profound disturbances caused by narcotic substances, a reaction that includes maintaining within the normal limits of the adaptation indicators, such as the bioelectric activity of the hypothalamus, the concentration of ACTH in the blood, the content of corticosterone and catecholamines in the adrenal glands, in the peripheral blood as well as in other tissues. The results of these experimental studies can serve as a reliable reference in the selection of the ways, methods and means of pharmacological correction of metabolic disorders, which directly or indirectly influence the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system and the adaptive homeostatic changes in the modeling of a series of stressful processes. |
