The article describes the stages of development of architecture of administrative buildings of the city of Chisinau from the end of 19th century (building of the provincial administration) to the present day (business centers). The description of the stages and their stylistic trends reflects the evolution of architectural techniques, and also demonstrates a great variety of stylistic and compositional principles from eclecticism and neoclassicism to modernism, postmodernism, deconstructionism and hi-tech. |
