The COVID pandemic has a major influence on children mental health determinants and dramatically impact the access to healthcare and education and also their family functioning and income. Lockdowns, school interruption, social isolation and diminished access to the support services could deeply affect mental health of our young’s. We aim to provide an overview of the literature on Children’s Mental Health during COVID-19 and to emphasize changes in child behavior, if any. Our goal was to identify national or local strategies, policy recommendations and public health interventions as response to the threat of the current pandemic. Not being properly address, Children’s Mental Health during COVID-19 became a new public health priority due to its impact on both child health and their family. More coordinated actions and efforts are needed in order to support and promote children’s mental health. |
