Formation of ecological culture in the process of teaching biology and chemistry. Along with the intellectual, moral and aesthetic education, an important role goes to the ecological education which contributes to the formation of pupils' ecological culture. The formation of the ecological culture is not possible without acquiring basic knowledge about nature. Therefore, the teacher's attention must be directed towards motivating and developing pupil's interest to know the nature and the environment. Special attention has been paid to the problems of ecology and environment protection during some biology and chemistry lessons. Among them, there can be mentioned the following units studied in gymnasiums and high schools: Environmental Protection; The Diversity of the Living World; Biorhythms; etc. During these lessons, there were used different teaching activities and strategies such as: contests, trips, sanitation activities etc. |
