This article is devoted to the consideration of one linguistic phenomenon – English phraseological units expressing emotions. The author considers the theory of emotive phraseological units of the English language, in the framework of which an approach to understanding these linguistic units is given. Ideas about expressing a person’s emotional response are suggested. Some difficulties in learning this linguistic phenomenon are mentioned and certain issues are presented. The data for the research have been taken from traditional and electronic phraseological dictionaries and analyzed. Phraseological units expressing emotions have been selected and examined. |
