Rezumat

Idiopathic myelofibrosis (IM) presents one of several myeloproliferative disorders that originate in the clonal expansion of a single hematopoietic multipotential cell reprogrammated by several somatic mutations and characterized by splenomegaly and hepatomegaly, bone marrow fibrosis and extramedullary hematopoiesis. IM characteristically occurs after age 50 and very rarely in children and young patients. There are 297 patients aged 18 to 92 in the Republic of Moldova. Patients diagnosed with MI aged 18 to 40 years are 35.
