Rezumat

As any great writer, Proust Ieans upon the opinion of Proust, the novei should not tradition, which he denies when his own describe the world, yet the consciences originality comes to be manifested. From Balzac, Proust takes over the imagination upon which he builds up his intricate world, considering, nevertheless, that the shortcoming of the Balzacian-type novels is the fact that, in them, reality is hardly transfigured. Proust enriches the externai view with the inner one, and the history of his epoch with that of the conscience ..H is novei is based on the self-discovery of one's own ego, who speaks himself out, introspection being essential in creating a Proustian perspective. The subjective approach is the principie upon wl1ich Proust built up his entire creation, both from the viewpoint of his own vision, and from that of the selection and structuring of the material. The author substitutes the character with the space of his conscience, which becomes the main "hero". Accordingly, in facing it. This is a fundamental Proustian situation.
