This article is devoted to the representation of tense in grammar and linguistics. The author begins his theoretical research by presenting different conceptions connected to the tense(s) from a linguistic viewpoint, and then he studies into details the theory of G. Guillaume confronting it with the opinions of other important linguists and exposing in the same time his point of view.

Prezentul articol este consacrat reprezentării timpului ca noţiune gramaticală şi lingvistică. Autorul face o incursiune teoretică prezentând diferite concepţii despre timpul gramatical şi formele temporale în perspectivă lingvistică, face un studiu detaliat al postulatelor lui G. Guillaume confruntându-le cu teoriile altor lingvişti renumiţi, dar expunându-şi propriul punct de vedere.
