It was selected 42 cultures of the fungs which includes: Trichophyton – 27, Candida albicans – 7, Microsporum – 7, Epidermophyton floccosum – 2 for determination the antimycotic action of the hidroalcoolic extract of Spirulina. The results turned out has revealed that the extract of the Spirulina in concentration 1mg/ml did cause the total inhibition of the fungal cultures growth. The growth of Microsporum canis and Trichophyton rubrum cultures was depressed by extract of Spirulina in 0.5 mg/ml concentration. The study did prove that the extract of Spirulina possess the fungicidal action.
