Rezumat

Republic of Moldova has proclaimed its independence and souvereignty, and this paths the state to become a real democratic country, where power belongs to the people, and this power must be exercised for people’s welfare. The Parliament strives to be the outcome of the public will, in consequence of the free, direct, secret, and universal vote, and has the role to accomplish the duties and functions of the supreme representative authority. This posture is confirmed by the parliamentarians’ right to decide for the people, to represent the public interests, as a result of voters’ reliance on deputies. Therefore, it can be affirmed that the Parliament represents the people, and deputies are the voters’ delegates, and have no right to commit their duties to other state officials. The elections are the moment of trust, or from this very moment, the voters allow deputies to exercise souvereignity in behalf of the people, ensuring the representative character of the Parliament.
